Jack and Dorothy Yandell start their trucking operation in Oakland, California, with a vision to offer exceptional service in a safe and positive work environment for drivers.

Entering Warehousing

Yandell Truckaway enters the warehousing industry.

1977
Introducing Eagle Transportation

With a $1,000 loan from the bank, Chet Galeazzi purchases his first truck, and Eagle Transportation is born. The company initially services the beer industry, then expands into the growing wine business.

Founding Redwood Empire

Eagle Transportation expands by opening Redwood Empire Wine Storage.

2011
Joining Forces with Santa Clara Warehouses

Yandell teams up with Santa Clara Warehouses and forms SC Wine Logistics to offer temperature-controlled TTB/ABC bonded storage. The unique beverage consolidation service streamlines shipments and decreases shipping costs.

Earning Accolades

Yandell is named Carrier of the Year by Owens-Illinois, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of packaging products, holding the position of largest manufacturer of glass containers in North America. Yandell is named the Best Trucking Company in the Wine Industry by North Bay Business Journal.

Gaining Recognition for Excellence

Yandell receives the California Excellence Award in the Wine Industry from North Bay Business Journal.

2023
Expanding Further

Yandell Companies purchases Sonoma County competitor Eagle Transportation Company Inc. and Redwood Empire Wine Storage Inc., expanding its wine country footprint and capabilities.
